About the event
Okutambula Kulaba: To Travel Is to See is a compelling solo exhibition by contemporary artist Odur Ronald, opening at the Afriart Gallery (AAG) in Kampala's Industrial Area. Running from 27th June to 22nd August 2026, this body of work uses striking material metaphors to dissect the global complexities of human migration, documentation, and systemic bureaucracy. Through thought-provoking sculpture and mixed-media installations, Odur challenges viewers to confront how institutional paperwork frequently takes precedence over human life and identity. The exhibition opening kicks off this Saturday evening and offers a premier space for critical conversation and artistic immersion.
